How I Trim My Natural Hair

If you follow me on  Instagram then you have probably seen that I have been rocking a mini puff and I'm excited that my hair is growing like a weed but I have to pull myself back and remind myself that I need a trim. As much as I love my current length I also have to trim my hair because a delayed trim can make me go back to a TWA in a matter of minutes because I would have to cut the damage that traveled all the way up my strands and so to avoid that I need to trim. Oh by the way, my hair is in the awkward stage and I have been incorporating a couple of protective styles. There are a few ways to trim your natural hair. I used two methods that are quite popular. The Urge To Color My Natural Hair...

If you have been following me for a while then you probably know that my hair has been through a lot. I have had a terrible dye job and there was   too much damage so I had to cut my hair and go back to a TWA, my hair grew back eventually and I had to cut it back into a TWA again because I still had the rough, damaged and porous ends. My hair is growing consistently now and I have incorporated protective styles and I have minimal breakage and it's great. I love it however I have been going through Instagram and I always see all of these pictures with people and their beautiful dyed natural hair and that is enough to make me want to run to the nearest supermarket and buy some dye and color my hair... then I remember what I went through with the first dye job... I hope there are still people outchea because I have been M. I. A but I promise that I have a good excuse : I'm in university now! 2017 was my gap year and that is why I could keep up with my weekly uploads but now that everything has been switched up and a lot has happened in a short space of time like emotional, financial, mental, physical stress and a little bit of drama 🙄. I had to take a digital cleanse and concentrate on some other things because they required most of my time and attention. I had to move to the North West and I had to adapt to the location, language, weather and a new schedule and I literally had no time to do anything besides study and do all my chores.  One thing that has drastically changed is the way I handle my finances. Let's Talk About My Naps + Searching For My Staple Products.

A couple of days ago I was compiling a topic list and as I was going through it , I realized that I have all these topics where I share my views and recommendations but you really don't know much about my hair and I have a natural hair blog 😳 . . . Oh well , today I took out the time to talk about my naps and I figured that this would be important if you are wondering what my hair texture is and if our hair would react differently/similar to certain products. The most important thing is probably texture so I have multiple textures on my head. I have only described my hair as coily and that doesn't really tell you much because some people with looser textures describe their hair as coily. So my hair is : 3c at the nape / maybe my coils are a little looser there. I have cut a couple of curls back there because I thought that it was heat damage .
