So I Finally Used AVJ On My Natural Hair. . .

After detangling my locs , there were certain Youtubers that I didn't watch because the products they used were just too extra for me , for example : aloe vera juice

Almost every naturalista on Youtube was recommending Aloe Vera Juice for dry natural hair . And a week ago I was in Dischem at Maponya Mall and I saw this 





I figured I should just try it out and stop being so stubborn , when I bought it I was a bit skeptical and felt a bit stupid and kept asking myself "why are you buying this when you can always use water"

I shaked off the negativaty and when I arrived home I took my spritzer bottle poured half water and aloe vera spritzed it all over my hair and . . .

My hair has never felt this hydrated even when I was using warm water because I have low porosity hair.

My hair feels so soft it's super shiny and my flat twist outs are bomb , I don't think I can go back to using water 

AVJ has changed the way my hair used to feel and the way it used to look. Im planning to play around with it and include oils that help with certain problems. 

I also want to try Aloe Vera Gel because if the juice is this hydrating I wonder how the gel is going to be like because I rarely use gels , they dry my hair out.

Stay posted for that because I will also show pictures of the hairstyles I did . I'm so excited !

What were some of the products you never thought you would use but when you tried it out , your hair felt like the hair of a unicorn.

The Urge To Color My Natural Hair...

If you have been following me for a while then you probably know that my hair has been through a lot. I have had a terrible dye job and there was   too much damage so I had to cut my hair and go back to a TWA, my hair grew back eventually and I had to cut it back into a TWA again because I still had the rough, damaged and porous ends. How I Trim My Natural Hair

If you follow me on  Instagram then you have probably seen that I have been rocking a mini puff and I'm excited that my hair is growing like a weed but I have to pull myself back and remind myself that I need a trim. As much as I love my current length I also have to trim my hair because a delayed trim can make me go back to a TWA in a matter of minutes because I would have to cut the damage that traveled all the way up my strands and so to avoid that I need to trim. Oh by the way, my hair is in the awkward stage and I have been incorporating a couple of protective styles. There are a few ways to trim your natural hair. I used two methods that are quite popular. I make sure to detangle small sections and I used : Spritz bottle Leave in conditioner Detangle brush Pik .. Hello?

I hope there are still people outchea because I have been M. I. A but I promise that I have a good excuse : I'm in university now! 2017 was my gap year and that is why I could keep up with my weekly uploads but now that everything has been switched up and a lot has happened in a short space of time like emotional, financial, mental, physical stress and a little bit of drama 🙄. I had to take a digital cleanse and concentrate on some other things because they required most of my time and attention. I had to move to the North West and I had to adapt to the location, language, weather and a new schedule and I literally had no time to do anything besides study and do all my chores.  One thing that has drastically changed is the way I handle my finances. Update : My Health And Confidence Journey + Going Vegan

Happy new year beautiful people , I know I'm late but I hope it still counts. A few days ago I made my way to the gym and I just felt strange , like I was lacking something  , I'm pretty sure you know that feeling , it's that feeling when it feels like you the only person noticing the change and everyone doesn't see anything and you go around asking people "do you see it though" , that is exactly how I felt a couple of days ago.
