I have a TWA now and I didn't even upload an update , how rude !

Anyhow I have mentioned in a previous post that it is liberating.

I am now on a health and confidence journey. My hair thrives when it is moisturized and left alone. I don't want to stretch it because I love seeing my little coils pop up whenever I moisturise.

I don't want to be self conscious whenever my hair is all coiled up and short  if I start feeling self conscious about my TWA I will cut my hair again untill I become comfortable in every stage I am in my journey.

I love going to bed and not retwisting. Woooo heaven 😊.
And waking up and spritzing my hair and sealing in the moisture and then I am OUT no fluffing , no  piking nah nah.. It's the ultimate wash and go.  I am a lazy natural so I think I will always cut my hair and rock a cute little TWA .

However I am not going to lie when I big chopped it wasn't all peaches and cream , I was a bit self conscious , but on the third day when my TWA had formed a specific shape I fell inlove with my hair all over again!

My hair needs have changed because it's now a little baby and I have to see what works for it but my hair doesn't give me a hard time , it just loves water and a good oil . What is surprising is that I retain a lot of moisture when I use a light leave in conditioner , when my hair was long it reacted amazingly well to thick leave ins , thick leave - in conditioners make my hair super hard and it also makes my hair super rough. I really don't know why.

I want to try out a few styles like finger coils , wash and go and so on but I have to go on Google and Youtube to check out any hair styles for TWAs and if I find any , I will let you know.

Anyway this was just a quick post I wanted to share with you .I have tons of articles that I have to upload but my schedule is kinda crazy.
I wrote this with one eye open at like 12 o' clock in bed. The struggle 😔

I'll probably attempt a wash and go in Summer.

This post is kinda long for someone who should be dozing off by now.

The Urge To Color My Natural Hair...

If you have been following me for a while then you probably know that my hair has been through a lot. I have had a terrible dye job and there was   too much damage so I had to cut my hair and go back to a TWA, my hair grew back eventually and I had to cut it back into a TWA again because I still had the rough, damaged and porous ends. My hair is growing consistently now and I have incorporated protective styles and I have minimal breakage and it's great. I love it however I have been going through Instagram and I always see all of these pictures with people and their beautiful dyed natural hair and that is enough to make me want to run to the nearest supermarket and buy some dye and color my hair... then I remember what I went through with the first dye job... How I Trim My Natural Hair

If you follow me on  Instagram then you have probably seen that I have been rocking a mini puff and I'm excited that my hair is growing like a weed but I have to pull myself back and remind myself that I need a trim. As much as I love my current length I also have to trim my hair because a delayed trim can make me go back to a TWA in a matter of minutes because I would have to cut the damage that traveled all the way up my strands and so to avoid that I need to trim. Oh by the way, my hair is in the awkward stage and I have been incorporating a couple of protective styles. There are a few ways to trim your natural hair. I used two methods that are quite popular. I make sure to detangle small sections and I used : Spritz bottle Leave in conditioner Detangle brush Pik .. Hello?

I hope there are still people outchea because I have been M. I. A but I promise that I have a good excuse : I'm in university now! 2017 was my gap year and that is why I could keep up with my weekly uploads but now that everything has been switched up and a lot has happened in a short space of time like emotional, financial, mental, physical stress and a little bit of drama 🙄. I had to take a digital cleanse and concentrate on some other things because they required most of my time and attention. I had to move to the North West and I had to adapt to the location, language, weather and a new schedule and I literally had no time to do anything besides study and do all my chores.  One thing that has drastically changed is the way I handle my finances. My disposable income is next to nothing because I have so many expenses and I have to cut corners in my natural hair regimen in order to keep my sanity and money and I figured that I'm not the only student going through this

Update : My Health And Confidence Journey + Going Vegan

Happy new year beautiful people , I know I'm late but I hope it still counts. A few days ago I made my way to the gym and I just felt strange , like I was lacking something  , I'm pretty sure you know that feeling , it's that feeling when it feels like you the only person noticing the change and everyone doesn't see anything and you go around asking people "do you see it though" , that is exactly how I felt a couple of days ago. I made my way to the gym and after my workout I took a warm steamy shower and I felt uneasy when I saw my shadow. I looked a bit closer and questioned myself like : " could it be ? " and I looked a bit closer and I finally found why I felt peculiar that day .
